Those are amazing photographs! Ted and I used to go to the San Francisco Botantical garden for lunch sometimes and they have a couple of varieties of these there. I am not sure if they were in the Australia section or not. I remember seeing a redwood in the New Zealand sections so I suppose some of the flora get mixed up from time to time.
It is almost the end of a long night shift (two hours to go) and I slide over to check what Anony has been up to - what a glorious post to kick start me at this time of the day. Very impressive :-) Thanks muchly....
I have a whole 'weed' post coming up Ces! Hhehheee
BRRRRRR, you just cooled my morning Modroom! More periscoped flowers coming up also! How interesting, there could be a whole 'tiny people' community in there ... :)
OH Mountaingirl, I feel for you! Pleased the 'oranges' have brightened your day! Hope the sun isn't too glary when you step outside :)

Don't you mean "quiet" Simon? Hhehehheee
Some weeds have really beautiful flowers that one would hesitate to call them weeds.
We need some warm bright orange here now that the UK winter is rolling in with nippy weather early sun-down.
I've never seen tiny submarine perescopes on a plant before.
