The flowers are light pink, with yellow hairy curled back lobes. The 5 stamens project beyond the tube when the flower is fully open.
Very interesting specimen - they remind me of lipstick - the colour and the shape. I bet honeyeaters LOVE it!
Yep, Honeyeaters would love this one Lavender! Very similar to one I'll be showing soon that I myself have drunk from :) It's unusual for such large bunches of these flowers to be in such a compact area!
yes I agree! Many of the flowers in the mountains are at their peak at the moment.
My daisies are still looking good :o)
Simon, in the last few weeks I've found the open exposed areas have more flowers, but the hidden dark areas have been spent. Like a turn in the seasons - maybe towards Summer already :) Daisies would enjoy the mountains!
