Gee, I like the look of both of these, the flowers on the Lambertia make me think birds would love them, but Im also intrigued by the ball shaped buds (?) on the Darwinia. Most groovy finds and shots Anon! (PS will keep eyes open for the orchid shot, hooray!)
Lavender, yes, those are buds :) They are lovely and soft looking opposed to the Mountain Devils! OH there will be a whole post of orchids, maybe two Lavender ... eventually :)

The Mountain Devils are from the Proteaceae Family and the Darwinia Fascicularis are part of the Myrtaceae Family...

Some of these little devils look like they're trying to make a point!
Hhehhehheee very funny Red Mojo! When there are seed pods instead of flowers they REALLY DO look like they are making points with two horns!
:)
But they look so pretty how can they be called devils just because of their horns?
With all these beautiful flowers...the red on the green...I think the Aussie bush has gone all Christmasyyy
They don't really look 'pretty' in pod form Ces ... but it's the wrong time of year to show you!
I'll have to post some pinks and purples Abbey, it's too soon for Christmas! Hhehheee
Interesting. We don't have anything like that here! Pretty! :-D
A lot of these plants would appear alien, Mary Stebbins Taitt :)
