The genus Olearia has found about 130 species native to Australia. They are generally small to medium shrubs commonly known as daisy bushes.

What are they talking about?

HAHA, you'll have to wait a bit for the 'real' bark shots because haven't slogged my way through them all yet Lavender :) YES I love that pinkness that disappears quickly, so it was good to catch!

They are probably talking about the fact they were almost the only flowering plant left in their area Harry Brown!

Anony I just love the way you see the world - and even more so that you share it with us. These daisies are just fabulous :-)

BTW I think I have been patient enough - where are the birthday photos???? Oh, and the stories that always happen over a birthday? :-)

Anonymous said...

Thanks Mountaingirl :) OH, some of these photographs are from my Birthday, I went bush this year (apart from two parties) Hhehheee! Myself and three other troopers climbed a larger than we thought rock, got lost and two wanted to go home soon as lunch was eaten ;)

And the OTHER photos are coming when .....

Anonymous said...

Oh THOSE other photos! I had the camera, so OTHER photos don't exist. Besides, I'm Anonymous ;)

I didn't ask for a face shot! what about something artisic or thought provoking like a half eaten piece of birthday cake next to a wine glass, or a single birthday candle in close up or .... (stomping feet and laughing)

Anonymous said...

You will have to remember to ask for those BEFORE my birthday NEXT YEAR! HAHHAHHHAAA

mountaingirlrae said...

Doesn't matter - I just blogged your birthday as I saw it :-) ha ha ha

The bark is most beautiful. More barks please!!! Yes, where's the whole are shot? Love this series.

Hhehhheeeee, I have about half a dozen barks from yesterday Ces and more, but need time to look at and post images! Perhaps I'll post more than two each Wildflower Wednesday and Weekend days ....but can't keep up!

harry blown said...

Do you take a camera with you to get these photos?

Anonymous said...

Yes, Harry Blown ... I don't have a mobile phone :)

harry blown said...

I'm glad you take a camera, it's very wise. A telephone can't take photos unless I've missed something.

Anonymous said...

I'm here to torment you!! Mwhahahahahahahahhaa!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't have a mobile phone Harry Blown! Join the club, there are two of us :)

Undead Enigma smells A LOT like my Evil Twin Sister ...

Thank you Abbey! Most people don't notice those things about common daisies :)

I like that you don't have a mobile phone. I wish I did not have one either.

RED MOJO said...

I think you SHOULD have a mobile phone. Not to take pictures of course, but if you tromping around in terrain and on boulders etc. You could hurt yourself, and a phone would be a good idea. You can leave it off, unless you need it. I'm just saying.

Anonymous said...

It's quite easy Ces ... drop it into a sink!

Aussies haven't hurt themselves for thousands of years tromping around Australian terrain, Red Mojo. A phone would be added weight to a backpack which I'd prefer NOT to have. Thanks for caring anyway HAHA.

Where are the birds?

...something's on fire.

Anonymous said...

WHA Harry Blown, DON'T start a bush fire!

Lavender said...

Hmmm, I killed my Evil Twin Sister.

BARK! BARK!! BARK!!! BARK!! BARK!!!

my niece hannah had an imaginary evil twin cousin named jennifer and she drown her while washing her hair!

don't ask what made me think of this.

:)

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm, is Lavender suggesting I do away with Perriette - just to prove I'm the MOST evil? STOP barking or you won't get any Lavender!

Hmmmmm, is KJ suggesting I should drown Perriette whilst washing my long luscious locks .... ?

Cool, I never hear of daisy bushes before. Our daisies or herbaceous. Neat. :-D

Will have a few more types of daisies coming up later Mary Stebbins Taitt :)

"Daisies are the friendliest flower" - that is a line from a movie and I have to agree. I'd like to crawl into that nook in the last photo.

Anonymous said...

Daisies do look friendly Perriette! Fragile, yet open :) Undead things would rather crawl into that nook HAHA!!

Anonymous said...

I'm going to ignore that last remark. HUMPH!

Oh good Perriette! But you didn't quite manage to ... hehhehhee
