In a cave which looks like a different world!
Those colours!!!!
I know ElizT! It's a tiny cave but obviously ancient and painted by the elements - mostly water to create minerals of all sorts :)
looks like bat scat.!
Are you web browsing? ;o)
HAHA Simon - never time for web browsing ... online ;) The cave is way too small for even one bat, the stalagmites and stalactites are formed by the dripping seepage of a natural spring.
yes! hard to get a perspective.
I caught a bat flying in our home one day.. small and pale ( the bat not me!)
I researched it- it is a "lesser long eared" bat
I t was easy to catch I just put my hand up and it flew into it... they are aboutthe size of a mouse
:o)
A visual treat but is'nt it time you cleaned your ceiling?
Your bats sound delightful Simon! Ours are huge, hairy, smelly and make everything purple outside our house once a year. Including the car!
Hhehehheee Modroom! I wouldn't be surprised if our ceiling ended up like that if it kept raining. Our roads have turned into lap pools!
Love the texture & colour of the stone...x
Thanks Abbey, this tiny cave was a jewel of a find :)
OOOOh, wonderful tones and textures. So earthy and lovely!
I hate spiders. v.v yuck. pretty colours though.
THE UNDEAD??!?! WHERE?!?!
ryn: flying away will not save you now! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
YES very "earthy" Mary Stebbins Tait :)
Hhehheeee behind you Shadowlor! Or maybe in front, depends which way the light shines ;) RYN! *flap flap flap*
Wow, they're stunning. You were brave to get in close.
It was a REALLY tiny cave Baino, so no webs in my hair :)
How big are these stalactites and stalagmites?
Tiny Ces! The stalagmite on the bottom photograph is no more than 10cm.
WOW!!!!
WOW!!!! MerlinPrincesse!
