I'm not a fan of Cacti but these are particularly pretty and they make great photographic subjects, I have to admit.

the black ones remind me of the poppy I photographed in Montparnasse cemetery, Paris... black like these.

These are Aeoniums Simon, and some might argue they are a REALLY deep purple but looked black without the blue sky reflection :)

I love cacti! But they can't survive in my house.... I have a tendency to drown them... :(
