Now these ARE cute! See the one in the water in the bottom photograph?
Is that the head or tail?
Heehee, the head is taking a gasp for air ElizT :)
They have longer necks than me.
Brilliant scientific observation Prof.Fufu-u! They don't have VERY short necks but shorter than mine ;)
That is an elemental theory, mostly mental.
Very good because no elephants are found around here!
I nearly ran one over on the way to Dunnes swamp ( a turtle not an elephant!!)
They sure would be enjoying all this wet weather Simon!
There must be something in the sky! They are all looking up! An UFO? :)
G'day from Melbourne,
The second shot is my favourite. Were they synchronised swimmers?!!
Soaking in the rays MerlinPrincesse! Like we do, head tilted back, eyes closed, lips curled and "ahhhh" :)
Gidday from Sydney :) HAHA no David McMahon, but the ducks on the bird blog are ...
why don't i come to this blog more often?
(she shrugs with true surprise...)
No idea KJ! Maybe it's the dangerous CREATURES here? Hhehehee
Cool turtles! I love turtles. Are these related to our painted turtles I wonder?
They could be related Mary Stebbins Taitt, but yours are more likely Queensland turtles which are a lot larger in size and swim in salty opposed to fresh water. I remember your 'blue' turtles :)
These turtles have longer necks than most turtles.
I think they must have been stretching their necks as far as they can go that day. On other days and other lazy turtles don't Ces :)
