The branches in front of the water are on purpose. Hhehhehee ... really!
We really are blessed with these lovely waterways aren't we? I don't take nearly enough advantage of them . . maybe this weekend.
its a great harbour!
Expansive waterways too Baino! Plenty of weekend's worth toeing around the edges. Looking forward to seeing some of your photographs as a result :)
It is indeed great Simon! So much to see and discover :)
A natural harbor is a landform where a part of a body of water is protected and deep enough to furnish anchorage. Natural harbors have long been of great strategic and economic importance. Many of the great cities of the world are located on a natural harbor, as indeed are many un-great cities such as Sydney.
That ISN'T nice Professor Fufu-u are being horrible. I will be posting more Harbour views to convince you otherwise about Sydney ... ;)
prof fufu-u No that is not nice at all. Sydney is a great City....and I have been to a few...
Did you know why they call one of the bays neutral Bay? Because that is where the war ships from other nations had to anchor! As an act of good will they had to declare their "neutrality."
I see Seagulls in the last photo Anon- we only have one type in Australia! weird huh?!
Very interesting history about Neutral Bay Simon, these photographs were also taken around that area. I think Professor Fufu-u should be showing more good will in his comment ;)
It's difficult to see but there is a black and white bird which I thought was a penguin behind the seagulls in the water but too far away to tell. It was why that photograph was taken!
Only having Silver Gulls is weird considering how much water we have, but there is also the Pacific Gull which isn't what I'd call a "seagull" but is Australian. There are about seven other gulls who visit from overseas but don't breed here :)
yes... I found it really strange for real re gulls....... I will have another look at the photo Anon! a penguin! well I have a friend who could not develop his house because of them.. ;o)
I like the twigs in front of the water.
Strange. Looks a bit like some places in Quebec City... wich has been constructed on a natural harbour and is a great city too... like Sydney... :) Prof Fufu must be jealous.... :))))
Lack of Gull types could be something I'll look into Simon! The penguins are being well looked after and even though I've had photo opportunities with their community, will wait until their numbers have increased and become more established again before doing a photo shoot - out of respect.
Thankyou Caroline :)
Not Quebec again MerlinPrincesse! You have said the same before. Maybe there is no point of you visiting Sydney because it's just like home? Hhehhee. Professor Fufu-u has made a MISTAKE! ;)
Good for people to know.
