I believe you Simon! Think many Aussies are photographing spiders at this time of year because they are very busy building webs right now! They also like going inside homes when it's raining, so look forward to having even more spiders INSIDE to photograph!

Yes it is definitely a web-y time of the year but yours Anony takes the cake!

I never seen such an awesome web - the structure, the rainbow sheen! Do you know what sort of spider made it? I would almost go so far as to keep them for pets if they would decorate my yard with structures like this one :-)

HAHA no idea what type of spider spun those beauties Mountaingirl! I was standing in the dark inside the tree shooting upwards into the light of the sky. After ducks who nest in trees actually :)
