Towns

Towns were observed from the car. I just aimed the camera out the window and clicked as we splashed past!

It was lucky dipping into puddles, photographing like that!

I know that town anon! :o) the miners huts are quite cute and worth quite a bit now. Not so long ago they were not worth much at all!

It feels like it looks, wet and misty. The cabins did'nt expand whilst you were there did they?

Most homes had protest banners strung across their front fence because the properties are slowly being developed by inner city yuppies who want their waterfront piece of paradise, Simon! Poor locals.

It was very wet and misty Captain Modroom9! We were too afraid to stop because the locals were giving us dirty looks, perhaps thinking we were developers. We thought if we stopped, no one would ever know what had happened to us!!

*glurp* Maybe taking pics did help you to get the "bad eye"... :)

I think so Merlinprincesse! Although, the towns are all advertised as tourist destinations ...

Oh dear, that fishing below looks miserable. To the 'inlet' with you next time! I promise you'll catch a fish. Warm fresh fish makes a rainy day seem OK.

Hhehhee, we DID go to the 'inlet' a couple of times G3TFilms. Sigh. Better luck next time when it's not raining!

what a shame developers will probably tear down those huts, they look fabulous, almost feel like i have been on holidays just looking at them, definately more relaxed! xo

I know Kyles! It's a shame what's happening to a lot of unique, and formally quiet towns on the coast. I don't think I'd like the NOISE of kids in one of those huts ;)

Beautiful rainy shots. DOn't think of Australia and rain int he same thought bubble, but hey. That last one is great. So are the others. I think one is in twice?

Wonderfully wet shots - seeing these I'm wishing I'd attempted more whilst it was raining...

Not even a dog outside.

Thankyou, you see something new every day Mary Stebbins Taitt! The first image is similar to the second last but the road, houses, mountains and views are different Heehee.

Caroline, I was determined to photograph holiday even in the rain, perhaps you can on your next wet holiday. Although, cameras aren't as safe in tents ;)

You're right ElizT! There was thunder and very heavy rain, so dogs are probably cowered in the back sheds or dozing under doonas :)

Yes Vfm4! HAHHAAA, we don't normally have this much rain, it was the worst in May in 150 years, since they first started recording the weather here :)
