When the locals aren't fishing ... you know something is wrong! That includes the water birds ... ;)

Aww poor little poppet. He looks so dejected. I thought fish were closer to the surface on cloudy days. . .shows what I know! heheh

The water was mud Baino ... the fish would have been down on the bottom if anywhere at all! He even went out in the middle of the night during rare ten minute dry spells ... very sad :( He might go fishing in Sunny Sydney today!

Bless the young fisherman and the older one too. I know the feeling of an empty-handed fishing trip - been to many of those. Yes, I love fishing. My husband just went home from the gulf without fish after fishing all night.

This looks like it was still a fun holiday and a beautiful serene place. That boat is making so much wake in the water, scaring the fish away.

There were three fishermen, but the youngest was the most dedicated, Ces :) That boat was the only one to pass during the week ... speeding away from the storm clouds on the first day!

The youngest always sticks it out. I love seeing young fisherboys/girls. When they catch something they are so joyful and when they don't they learn a lesson in patience and perseverance.

Awwww . . . .

wahn!

I used to love to fish when I was a kid.

And I would eat the fish I caught, too.

I don't fish any more though.

Ces, when young, I loved the challenge of fishing and there's a lot of hope involved too!

I even ate the fish eyes Mary Stebbins Taitt! Fished from sunrise to sunset but didn't try night fishing like poor son above ;)

LOL!!! poor boy! there from dawn till dusk and no fish for his supper....

You need to buy Hubby a GPS? LOL!!! Poor boy too.... he walks all day and now you are encouraging him to walk all weekend-

Maybe, just maybe a mountain bike is the compromise Anon!

BTW My specialist said its the best thing for knees and hips etc that are arthritic- better than swimming.

I really enjoyed this post!

gotta go and ride :o) ( and clean my garage!)

PS- My youngest is a very lucky kind of fisherman- usually first cast is a fish ( 100% true).. its embarrassing..

I have yet to take him fly fishing for trout- but is on the list and I have a very nice set of hand made flys which work a treat.
Failing those there is alway de costis ! (lol)

Hmmm Simon, there is NO compromising; I am a Lady amongst Monsters! I should have forced Jack the Lorikeet to be a girl for company ;) Fish never tastes as good bought from a shop!

Hhehheee, my boys couldn't have the same reason for fishing Kyles because I'm always there! Mwhahhaha

Maybe the fish were all at the doctors...

It's NO laughing matter Simon!

The fish went on holidays very far away Captain Modroom9! VERY far away because we tried MANY fishing spots. Sigh.

It's a miracle WE didn't have to go to the Doctors with bad colds Caroline ;)
