Fabulous!

Looking at the bottom two photographs I was reminded of Monet.

I think I once read that the coast of Brittany inspired the movement. Looking at your photographs I suspect the Australian coast must have the same kind of light. Certainly this beach has :-D

It's true Impressionism then showed subtle pastels Miladysa... mostly seen on a cloudy day like this in Sydney! Sunny days bleach the colours with whiteness! Monet reminds me of my Mother-In-Law, she's a pastel Lady ;)

Lots of texture in your beaches... and a rather wonderful blue in the reflective water.

Sunshine bleaches beaches, leaching them of their hues?

Hhheee, sunshine DOES leach beaches Caroline! However, this isn't a beach, it's a rock platform which explains the textures instead of sand but the same applies :)

Not many people about are there Tony LaRocca! No computer either ;)

It was a rare occasion not to be windy that Sunday Mary Stebbins Taitt :)

Heeheee, thanks Gledwood - good to see you visiting!

Ah so now I know the answer to:

When is a beach not a beach?

When its a rock platform!

But that sounds more like a stage...

It could be a 'stage' in evolution Caroline! Later grinding into sand ... heehee ;)
