WHERE Albrecht von Krappa!?! We must send this information to the underground fortress plotting room so they can covert gun data to send on to gun crews!
The one in the middle is part of the Barracks Joy Eliz :) It was busiest during the Vietnam War. About 300 soldiers ate in the mess hall - lots of cutlery!

Before radar, observation posts like the bottom images were where enemy ships could be spotted!

Almost Simon! I'm pleased we don't shoot down 'enemy ships' like the same any more.
"Cutlery" Albrecht von Krappa!?! Yes, you could try throwing some at the boat ...
I was just going to ask what kind of buildings these were.
The one in the middle is very Deco - and very cool.
You are quite adventurous

My arms are tired from 'messing', I think the forks would make good ammunition but not washing them up for you Albrecht von Krappa!
Very arty collection of shots Anony :-) I love the symmetry of the first two especially!
Symmetry is always relaxing Mountaingirl and I'm naturally arty farty :)
The outlook reminds me of World War II although I have not been born yet. Just from other photographs.
These were probably used for both wars here Ces but built for the first :)
