Cook’s Quarters built in 1914. A bathroom and kitchen fitted out around 1958. See the classic Hills Hoist is there!
The cook is'nt hanging out any washing today.
No Modroom, I can't see the Cook, but that doesn't mean she wasn't there ... I'm sure Cooks would need to have clean pinnies each mealtime :)
Maybe the pinnies are invisible now.
They would have to be Modroom, otherwise would be ripped to shreads by the sea breeze by now ...
...blimey.
We live on a harsh land Modroom. Blimey, look at your face! Did the sea breeze do that?
Something did, and my name changed too.
captain? as in cook? hahahah!
Hhehhee, Simon is right, I will now forever associate Captain Modroom9 with Cook's pinnies!Hhahhahhaaa You are glowing in your new avatar Captain Modroom9!
Fun photos, I think I like the second or third one best, cool textures.
Thanks Mary Stebbins Taitt, the original paint is what you can see bits of - weathered :)
You can probably buy weathered paint in tins in designer shops these days...
You can Caroline - I've used it! Nothing like the original ... ;)
Does it come with lichen spores (or whatever it is that lichen grow from)?
I am master and commander of all pinnies and Australians too.
Errrrmmmm, no it doesn't Caroline!
AHA Captain Modroom9, you really are sailing aren't you?
It's my Captain's hat that does it. AHAA.
OH! It looks like the French! You might want to anchor it :)
Is pinnies the correct spelling? :-)
I don't know Ces, it's what Aussies call pinafores ...
Ooh, I thought it was something else.
Like what Ces!?! Tell me after you've had a rest ;)
You don't photograph people, but the shells they once occupied.
It has been like that on the blog lately Hardwax :) Poke your eye out!
