LOVE the window shot!!!!! Imagine if you painted ( as in art) each pane and hung it on a wall!!

You should try that Simon! HAHA!! Don't say you "can't" because there is no such word in art ... ;)

These are fun and interesting. I like the last one best.

All in the eye of the beholder Simon!

Thanks Mary Stebbins Taitt :)

I like the dark tap against the bright boards best - if we're playing the what I like best game!

I like that one best also Caroline - it's very 'Aussie' to me. That makes even winners so far in the I like best game!

Just want to add, the three doors at the end of the verandah lead to a servant's bedroom, toilet and bathroom.

My fave is the last picture. Is this the quarantine hospital?

Anonymous said...

It's not used for quarantine anymore Joy Eliz, but was last used as such in 75 when airline passengers arrived without adequate vaccination certificates :)

Sigh. Someone else vote for the top one please ...

The window is my favourite, but you've done so many compositions that work in this series I even find a tap appealing.

Anonymous said...

Okay Modroom, the window wins! The tap still being "appealing" ;)

captain modroom9 said...

Is it peeling?

Anonymous said...

No it isn't. You made me say that. The window WINS!

captain modroom9 said...

It's not a competition.

Anonymous said...

Not anymore ... no.

The door looks scary. I think I would hesistate opening it.

Anonymous said...

BOO Ces! Mwhahahhaaa. It's only the servant's bedroom, toilet or bathroom ...

I like the tap best.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Anonymous said...

I like the tap even more than that.

Tap more that.
Tap more that.
Tap more that.

Anonymous said...

That isn't me cheating ... it's an Anonymous voter who has voted TWICE for the tap! TAP WINS! TAP WINS!! TAP WINS!!!

Abandoned buildings are so much fun. But also a sense of loss and nostalgia.

Mary Stebbins Taitt said...

do you put the one you like best first?

the tap doesn't resonate as much for me, maybe because I am not an Aussie.

Aussies remember washing off muck or sand before entering the home by using the outside tap Mary Stebbins Taitt. This one is postioned by the entrance. Many homes even also have an outside shower, or used to. I post the photographs as a set depending on colour and shape etc.

It's a tie again!
