The first image is a Staghorn, the rest are Bird’s Nests! Staghorns generally grow on trees and occasionally grow on rocks. Nests mostly remain on the ground or rocks.

Looks like daft lettuce to me.

I call them "lettuce" BoiledEggInADeckchair! Lettuce isn't daft even though they don't answer my calling. 8P

That's because they can't talk. Not like some people.

I like staghorns and birds nests a lot. Especially when you find a frog living in them!

Simon, I've often wondered if BoiledEggInADeckchair isn't really boiled but half baked!

There is something about the fern's greeness that's appealing. They also grow in shaded areas, so they have a calming and cool effect on bushwalkers because likely to stop and rest there. Just like frogs do! Lavender found a green frog in her lettuce at the bottom of her fridge ... all the way from Mexico!

To me, the ferns in nature are a reminder that humans have not plundered all of earth's space. I love ferns!

There is something about rainforests that feel like that too Ces! The same environment ferns are found :)
