Paper daisies! They occur in both annual and perennial forms so don't always last 'forever' :)

They look so soft and fluffy, but they are pretty prickly to the touch, are they not? Love the white flowers, they look so magical -- midsummer's dream.

i lurve those kinds of flowers ^_^ my mother used to collect them and hang them from the celing in the basement.

They are just like sharp paper and watch out for papercuts Albina!

She cared a little then Shadowlor ... hanging flowers in your room };-} I used to adorn jam jars with these and planted some seeds this year but they were washed away ...

I think it was a phase all of our parents went through - hanging the daisies from the ceiling :-)

For you info, my parents cared too mmuch to hang strange flora from the ceilings. Hellcats in the house, now that is another story, we had a running band of them!

They are NOT weeds Ces, I planted some seeds only a month ago ... :)

beautiful shots Anony!...we have the same but yellow on our headlands...we put them on fishing line, with shells to hang. Kids call them tree earrings!

I hang bunches of roses from my verandah ceiling to dry..

There you go Abbey ... many Mothers still love these flowers and hanging blooms from ceilings :) We now have basement adornment, jam jar decoration and tree earrings! HAHA
