Phew, all these shiny things are making our home look drab!
I am not a fan of lots of lights n stuff.....
ANYHOOO happy new year ( almost!)to you Anon and your family!!!
We fly back tomorrow.. LOOONG way home. Spent this week in the lakes district. I have about 60 bird species spotted (smile),
Watched Romeo and Juliet ballet walked and ate...
NOW i need to get back, lose weight and ride my bike! :o)
BTW Nice Valiant in the other photos
Simon, they were mostly tacky decorations but the odd house showed tasteful and 'understated' shininess. I don't know how they sleep at night! Heehee. OHHH you have had an adventurous holiday! I'm still pretending we don't need another car .... :)
Oooh I missed so much of your posts. You seem like you had a fun time during Christmas. I love Santa's coming - very Australian!!!
Give thanks to your lighted house. At least your neighborhood has not been invaded by giant blow-up animals, Santas, Dinosaurs, Gorillas - totally tasteless. Happy New Year Anon. I am glad you are a blog friend.
OH hahahaa, Santa arriving in a canoe is the only way to arrive in these parts Ces :) Dinosaurs and animals Ces? Hhehheheeee. We ARE lucky to even have electricty which I give thanks for :) Happy New Year to you too Ces! I am glad you are a blog friend :)

I'm taking some time off to go bird stalking and to watch FIREWORKS! See you all in 2008!

More Bearman's than mine Simon Heehee :)
now THAT IS COOL!!!
I always wear my big sunglasses when riding in it :)
Fun house pix, very sparkly.
:-D
The actual beach with sand is slightly to the left of the picture and there were some abandoned lifeguard chairs etc. But since I'd recently posted one of those, I took the picnic area associated with the beach.
We thought it was warm, because it had been 19 and then was up to maybe 37 which was 20 degrees warmer.
I don't know faren temperatures (don't even know how to spell the word) but I do know your 'warm' is our 'freezing', Mary Stebbins Taitt!
