Oh wow. I love this angle even more. I know they are different because the surfers are moving. There are so many of them in the water. Amazing phtographs Anon. How many megapixels are the originals?
Hheheee, they aren't surfing off a beach Ces - that is the rock shelves below the cliffs :) My camera shoots 6 megapixels... I know I'm behind the times now!
My camera is 10 megapixels but I like yours better. I also have a 4 megapixels that shoots better than the 10! I think your photographs are excellent. The 10 megapixels create huge files that fill up my pc. Before I can post them online, I have to reduce them to 25% otherwise I'll be posting between 4 and 7 megapixels. I think my 10 MP is overkill. Or maybe it's because you are just a better phtographer, better composition and better eye.
As for the cliff, is it a drop off? These guys are daredevils. It looks so scary.
The cliff is indeed a drop off Ces! However, the surfers don't drop off the cliff to go surfing HAHHAAA!!
It's true many buy cameras far too capable for what they need them for. A professional photographer needs only 10 megapixels if exhibiting photographs in a gallery unless they wish to cover a whole gallery wall with one image. What you've said about computer space is why I bought the 6 megapixel. At the time, my prints didn't need to be larger than the size of an A4 and not many books are larger than that either. However, as time passes we are forced to use more pixels to stay in scale with other technology and megapixels cheapen in price. My next camera will at least be a 10 ;)
Oh you will have lots of fun experimenting then. I don't know half the stuff of what's in my camera. I think I am going to study photography more seriously and I would like to take photos like you do instead of just taking them for posterity's sake.
Studying your camera's manual is a very good place to start Ces :) I don't use a lot of what my camera offers but take photographs the old fashioned way by seeing what's in front of the camera then simply as possible exemplifying what I want the viewer to see. The trick is seeing things in the first place which you have no problems with!
I live very close to here, we don't have resorts near where I live. Heehee Ces, do the full circle! I must examine and completely understand something before simplifying it. First instinct at the beginning of the circle is always a perfect ending ;)
These pictures seems like ,you take it from a helicopter ...or some thing like that...It would be great if you write the name of the place while you post your photo... Any way its great
Hello Raj, thankyou! Almost every headland on the Northern Beaches have views similar to this one. You can see some in the distance here! I don't post the exact location because 'anonymous' ;)
And I like lots of pixels... but that's so that sometimes I can crop in really close and still have a picture left to look at... the same effect might be achieved with an expensive lens of course... not that I've for 10 megapixels... I think it may be about 7 but I've not counted them
I am a bird, Caroline! *tweet* I also like the scope for cropping but generally only need to for bird photography if not showing their environment. You could be right about having seven megapixels, I find six is enough for cropping then blogging :)
Oh yes, I too agree with not identifying the places near my home. I only identify the places that are not my hometown, that is why I have not posted famous marks and sights from my city. My street looks like the thousand other streets in the state. I don't even live in the city where I work.

By the way, why is the sand black? Do you have a volcano?

All I can say is WOW! How beautiful and peaceful!
Hhheee, thanks Indigo-Daisy :) The sun was setting and the crashing waves had a meditative resonance ;)
Do you live near this place or is this part of a resort?
I hope I am able to simplify things Anon. I always complicate things.

I like the way the clouds look like ink that has been dropped inot a glass of water! :o0
The sky was a lot like a glass of water Simon! After all the rain, the moisture was rapidly rising again to the sun!

Wow this seems like a birds eye view.

I played with my camera yesterday morning. I used my digital micro to take photographs. Maybe sometimes I will have the nerve to post them.

Heehee, good morning Ces! Can we see your micros from your macro when you are braver?
