The winter mist is still lifting around lunchtime over a park in outer Sydney, Australia.

I’m looking forward to clear and WARM days again. Time to SKY WATCH FRIDAY !

Clear warm day would be fine...
But the melancholic atmosphere is super!

Thanks Maria :) Only a matter of time and spring will have sprung and there'll be no more melancholic atmospheres to photograph! Today is very dark, cold and wet. *sigh*

So beautiful, your atmospheres! My husband's 16 year old son also loves your pictures!

Here it's still raining in the night after a rainy day. BRRRR!
And no spring in sight, only autumn. *sigh*

wonderful pictures!

Misty! And beautiful. Looks like a park we have nearby called Colonial Park, but doesn't look like our kind of weather. Greener and more colorful.

Ooooh, so pretty--your rainy shots are just beautiful--what's the temperature like there?

Heeheee Maria, it would still look different seeing the rain in Australia. We did just have our wettest Summer and Autumn too! I need another hot drink...

Thankyou AsMinhasFotografias :)

HAHA, our winter does tend to bleach out our colours Leora :)

Thanks Mary Stebbins Taitt :) It is 10 degrees Celsius right now and a quarter to 11 before lunchtime!

I've always wanted to visit Australia, and now I do even more.

I love a walk in a gentle rain. This looks like the perfect spot to do just that.
Very lovely images!

A beautiful series of photos. They are wonderful given your current weather conditions. Very lovely Sky Watch!

Thankyou Neal :)

Hah, this isn't the usual Australia Wren. We are known for sunny skies and hot beaches! Although have to admit it's been the usual in Sydney lately ;)

The rain was gentle that day Carletta. Today, you'd need more than an unbrella! Thanks!

The mist/fog did make these photographs Rachel* :)

Great :) Thanks Kim!

Hheheee, yes, we CAN'T SEE the sky right now Pat-AnArkansasStamper ;)

Does it ever snow where you live?

It rarely snows in Sydney Ces, because the altitude isn’t high enough. Last winter I remember minus five degrees Celsius but still no snow. We do get frost and lots of hail though! Only an hours drive up out of Sydney and you can find snow. I remember once when it did snow where I lived in Sydney, but wouldn't be surprised if never see that again :)

Well, I like your winter then because you have the mist and all the nice trees still keep their foliage. Do you have Fall? Your trees seem full.

I love each of these and am glad I don't need to pick a favorite. I love foggy, misty, rainy scenes.

These pictures and that park are beautiful!!! I am dying to go to Australia..it is number one on my list!

I am with you about the weather, needing some sunshine. This is a great park and your photos are amazing. What a lovely picturesque spot. Happy SWF.

We don't have 'Fall' but 'Autumn' Ces. Our trees are the same as yours apart from in the Aussie bush ;)

Hhehee, skip ahead Rose - I know you want to :)

Goodie, you'll LOVE Australia Whitney! Just wait until the rain subsides a little and the sun shines again ;)

Hello Suzanne :) BLAH all the rain! It's not so bad if wasn't so cold to go with. Thanks and happy SWF!

Well yes we properly call it Autumn but here in our region, for example we hardly have Autumn leaves with the colorful foliage but except for the live oak and other evergreen trees, the leaves all fall so the southerners aptly call it Fall.

While it is a park your images give me the impression that Australia is a very clean place.

Baino said...

Anony where is it? I don't recognise it at all, looks really English.

My childhood memory of Canberra includes LOTS of Autumn leaves and where I grew up they lined the streets with deciduous trees. We have Ashes, Birches, Black Locust, Chinese Cedar, Ginko, Honey Locust, Maples, Pistacia, and Crepe Myrtles which are all introduced. Deciduous Beech, or Fagus is a Native found in Tasmania :) Ces, we like to keep Australia clean but find it isn't as clean as we would like on Clean Up Australia Day!

It's on the other side of Galston Gorge, Baino ;)

It's a very beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet. :)

It WAS Steven and Aisha! The jogger you can see in the second photograph was the first person we saw within three hours!

Canberra! Finally someone mentions the capital. We hear of Sydney, Perth,Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, even of the provinces (do you call them provinces e.g. New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland etc.!) (I dated a guy from Victoria when I was 19 and he wanted to marry me) but rarely of Canderra.

I usually only mention Sydney because live here and the State of NSW is SO MUCH BETTER than the ACT where Canberra resides, Ces :)

Reminds me of a park I use to stop at before work when I lived in Texas. Was the perfect way to start my morning...with a little serenity.

Anonymous said...

Hhehe, they are a little like paintings Denise, but more like those from England and not so much Sydney, Australia ;)

Thankyou LilyHydrangea :)

Serene is a very good way to describe this place Indigo-daisy. Although, once spring arrives - so do the people!
