Dear God, Anon's country is so damn beautiful. I know, I know I should not say God and damn on the same sentence but it is so frickin' BEAUTIFUL. Goddamn! I love Australia!
God bless the Pope. I know wherever he goes it is such a grand production and cost. I like his red Italian loafers. I actually rooted for Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger. I don't know why, I am not a devout Catholic but I like my church even if I don't go all the time. There have been so many bad events because afterall there is church politics. I actually want to be Buddhist but I am so materialistic.
Sydney is already suffering from the Pope's visit in lots of ways. I like his dress ;) You would be more suited as being a Catholic if materialistic! My Father was Catholic but was Xcommunicated from the church for marrying a Methodist. My children attended scripture classes for different religions each year. They have a well rounded knowledge to make spiritual decisions in their futures :)
Beautiful shots. I enjoyed scrolling down your whole page. Sydney looks like an interesting city. Loved the reflections in the mirror - homeward - shots. Cool site.
Thankyou so much Raven! I will have to visit your site again. It takes a while to catch up to Friday Skywatchers :) In fact, it takes until my Sunday! HAHAHA :)
Pomp and circumstance. However, there is some spiritual process going on with most people. I met Pope John Paul II and I cried when he touched my hand during his visit to the Philippines. As for your country, it is so blessed with nature: terrain, birds, plants, animals and I always like Australians, the very few I met and worked with. Just don't call them English :-)
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! I never was interested to visit Australia, but now ...
I read your comments about the German Pope. I am a Free Denker, but this Pope I like him very much, not because he is a German, but because he is a very inteligent person.
To see your pictures is wonderful, but to know a litle bit more about you, is also very interesting.
HAHHAAA, Australians are NOTHING like the English, Ces! Heeheee :) From what I once read, we are also the country with the least 'religious' people in the world. That might be why the Pope is visiting HERE and trying to influence Down Under! Our Government views the visit for 'future' tourism. We have our nature to be close to :)
I'm pleased you have found Australia as a new interest Ematejoca :) I know nothing about the Pope and have no interest in organised religion. The Catholics I know in Australia are born into the church, don't practise and generally don't have faith in their church. Night!
I should mention, the building you can slightly see on the right hand side of the second last photo in this post is where the pilgrims are are having a welcome barbecue after walking their Cross next week!
Hello Tony LaRocca! I'm glad you left a comment, haven't visited yours for a while... seem to only have time to visit those who visit me lately! You wanna go? You wanna go to Australia? You wanna go to the big pilgrim barbecue after carrying the cross? You WANNA GO! Must be all the water in my photographs ;)

The Belmattrons, please refrain from stinking up this otherwise clean wind!

Now that I'm getting over being sick, I shall visit more often.
Lovely shots. They remind me of a great game I play called Riven. Slightly lonely feel with just a touch of 'better off that way.'
That's good news ShadowLor! I know Riven and have played the game!! Your description of my photographs is very good ;)

Don't be blown over the edge Raj!!!
