Fort Denison









After the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788 this island was used as a place of confinement and punishment. By 1842 it was levelled to create a fort but by the 1870s a more modern defensive unit on the shores of outer Sydney Harbour had rendered Fort Denison obselete.

really intresting info about fort denison...anyway i am eager to know what sort of equipment do you use to take these beautiful photos...i love photography as well and i am planning for canon eos 450d what you think about that!!!Any suggestion !!!

Heehee, a Canon EOS 450D is a much better camera than I use Raj Shrestha! If you can afford it buy it, it would be an excellent camera! I use a Canon Powershot S3IS but there is an S5 out now. I've had my eye on the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi and the Olympus SP-570UZ which is also a nice camera :))

Okay Raj, thanks for linking me :) I blog when have something to post which depends a lot on the weather. As you've noticed, I've been forced to go out into the rain a lot lately but as winter proceeds I might stay indoors! That means less posts ... computer break time! Have a nice evening :)

I saw that too. Right on the Opera House's kisser. KA-BOOM! Nice guns. I love the sandstones. I wish I had a house like that.

Those are sandstone blocks Mary Stebbins Taitt! Quite popular to build with particularly in the old days because our local stone :)
