ElizT, it's interesting how if a person isn't in the shot, scale can be decided by the viewer :) My kids first swimming pools were like these ones, tadpoles and small freshwater fish make swimming so much more fun! The bigger holes have eels ...
Most probably Simon! You would be hard pressed to find somewhere I haven't been in NSW. Although mostly when younger, and to remember many places other than just names, have to visit your site! HAHA!!

Holes ... you decide the scale HAHA.
That's not fair! I imagine small.
probably huge, if from the same area as before.

I have seen similar at Barren grounds, which is on the escarpments of the Illawarra. In fact one even forms a perfect bridge over the creek! :o)
( Barren grounds is home to the rare Bristle Bird and Ground Parrot... great walks too!)
Been there but not bird stalking Simon! Might visit during winter. Quite a hike from here for just a weekend dip too :)
Summer... Those make me remember of a place I went this Summer... *sigh* For now, my Soul is frozen..
I'm a frozen fish.....
You look like a thawed mermaid MerlinPrincesse! Or one that doesn't have cold blood ...
I love these things, Im totally fascinated by how nature carves them out - Awesome!
I like to imagine how many years the water has taken the same trail Lavender :) Plus who and what else have drunk from the same place :)
been there too! Gawd we might have crossed paths and never known it ahahahahahahaha!!!!

oh yes! me too!!
although I am making a point to try and ride as many as I can..the walking can be difficult with my feet!!!
I'll have to factor in your tire marks and not footprints at future water holes Simon :)
Stick your foot in the hole Anon, so I can determine the scale. Some of the wholes look scary.
I DID Ces! It is a good way to cool down :) Nothing scary in the holes ... just tiny fish or tadpoles!
