Who or What?

I have Ancestors who arrived here and survived the ‘Plague Ship’ in 1814. A ship re-named because typhoid broke out amongst the passengers and crew.

In the early years before buildings, ill people were kept on board ship and others were accommodated in tents. A story passed down tells my family stayed in tents. Many through the years have etched their names on stone through boredom and perhaps thinking they won't leave alive.

There appears to be an extra on our walk, only they are facing the wrong direction!

Who or WHAT is that!?!

I don't know who or what that is. Who or what is it?

I don't know who or what that is either Modroom! That's why I asked ...

It is a mystery!

Do you think it might be someone with a lantern near their shoulders Modroom? Looks a bit like a lantern skull head to me. It has two legs! Only, it would be an extra person not on the walk ... mystery!

Anon, were you Ghost Anonymous once?

Hehehe more mysteries ahead Lavender :)

If it's a 'Casper' type ghost, it is a friendly one MerlinPrincesse! I did feel 'welcomed' on the walk :))

If you run Ces, you might fall over!! It's very dark here! Most of these photographs were pitch black when they went onto the computer and I had to bring the light out of them. What you are seeing is lighter than reality.

Yes Ces, I was AnonyGhost for about a year and a half before turning into a Bird :) You knew me before then - perhaps just as 'Anonymous'! I wore a dress and had feet then :)

Very interesting! Wish I had been there to really see!

By hanging back without light I only saw darkness and the glow from the other's lanterns. When using a flash, it was the brightest light there was and showed more than what we could physically see Joy Eliz. The guide was convinced I'd find things in my photographs at home, he also added he was very surprised my camera always worked ... he said cameras USUALLY didn't work at all on the night walks! Heehee!! It was like magic bringing light into each dark image … I recommend taking photographs in the dark without a flash!!

Very interesting Anon, I did see you as Anonymous then. You have had a lot of transformation just like Modroom.

I haven't transformed as much as Modroom! I still wear the same dress, it just changes with style from the times :)

It still IS MerlinPrincesse! I just don't have feet ...

It looks like an owl with a flashlight.
Fascinating. I think I said that before during the walk, but this time I mean it.
I think it's great you had ancestors.

Anonymous said...

Owls don't need flashlights Hardwax! You don't have ancestors?

HARDWAX said...

no, none who will admit it anyway
