Mr Magpie put energy into having great plumage and saying "I've got great genes to produce these plumes, how about we get together?".
Mrs Magpie agreed, then used her energy and resources to create eggs.
They had a baby boy. Although there were often squabbles, the family continued to grow, yearly producing a new baby Magpie.

Until one day, Cookie said NO MORE!!!! Too much babies and magpies around here! And no more food for Cookie! :) And Mademoiselle Princesse ate all the stoooopid magpies... and Cookie... Do you love my story?

I miss Cookies. Why did you run him off? Maybe he'll be back, when the cows come home. Cows do have lots of good ideas and are never in a hurry to return.

The cows can't be the Canadians then - they seem to be in a hurry. Cookie still visits Perriette, I saw him and his wife laughing across the sky this morning. Maybe there is a mini kookaburra in their nest!
