The zoo vet, wildlife park employees, and other bird experts agreed Baldie's treatment was unusual behaviour for Australian Magpies. Separating the bird from the parents would create more problems and she would ultimately die.So we adopted Baldie into care within the confines of our backyard so her head wouldn't ultimately fall off! The actual parents were still around, but Baldie thought of Anon as her new Mummy.

Perriette and MerlinPrincesse, Her name IS Baldie! One cannot be more bald than headless, this is a genuine non manipulated photo of Baldie. She appears to be headless and I didn't say it was a good photo of my baby!
